Editor’s Pick for July II: Pevonia Enzymo-Sphérides Peeling Cream

I was initially intrigued by the name of the product presented to me : Pevonia Enyzmo-Spherides Peeling Cream. This is one of Pevonia's most post popular products, being raved about in skincare forums abroad, by those who love DIY skincare. Made of pineapple and papaya, this promises to clean your skin off all impurities - those toxins, oil, blackheads, and other impurities, as well as have the enzymes "digest" your dead skin cells. Awesome!

How it works? here it is :
What makes the Enzymo-Sphérides Peeling Cream unusual? The incorporation of enzymes in skin care products is the most difficult technique achieved in manufacturing. When enzymes come in contact with water (used in the manufacturing process), they become active, their activity lasts a minimal time and then ceases. The latest manufacturing technique exclusive to Pevonia, encapsulates the enzymes in micro-sphérides, shielding them from water within the actual formula. The result is enzymes do not become active until they are actually applied to the skin. When worked into the skin with warm water, the micro-sphérides break and deliver the enzymes, which become immediately active.

Curious Cassie, being able to try the luxurious treatments for the body, and the face at the Aurelia Spa in Peacock Garden during my Bohol escapade last summer, I trusted Pevonia as a brand and just tried the peeling cream, as per instruction.

During my night routine, I washed my face, toned it, and blotted my skin dry. Then, I proceeded to slather a generous amount of the Pevonia Enzymo-Spherides Peeling Cream on my face, making me look like I've applied white paint all over my face! Haha! And then, the waiting time began. Two minutes. I could feel the paste drying on my skin, and my skin felt somewhat tight. I wasn't complaining, because it smelled good! No, not the overpowering scent, but that really faint, floral scent that helps you relax at night!

After two minutes, I proceeded to wet my hands with warm water and massaged my face, further "wetting" my dry, white face. After massaging for around a minute ( this was my idea! ), I got a moist towel, and wiped off all the white stuff from my face, washed my face, and proceeded to do my usual skincare.

I was expecting for peeling to occur, as I was expecting it from the name of the product, but no skin flaked out. But then, the results were really surprising!

I was really, really surprised that as I washed off the peeling cream on my face, that my face looked really bright and radiant. Even fairer. In disbelief, I reached for my magnifying mirror and see my pores really tight and smaller. Looking at the bigger mirror, I was really happy to see my face looking really alive, less dull, and looking smooth! My skin evened out somewhat in terms of complexion and texture. I love this stuff!

If you're still wondering why it's called a peeling cream, then let me explain to you from my experience that I highly suspect that yes, skin really peeled here to be able to achieve that beautiful finish that I had post-usage, but the peeling was just so fine, and it was a micro-peel, as the enzymes digest the dead skin cells. It was really successful in lessening my comedones ( I can't believe it! ) , tightening my pores really good, and brightening my skin in all aspects.

Yes, I am strongly considering a repurchase of a whole pot of this because of its wondrous effects! To purchase: Visit Pevonia Website
