It’s not news anymore when we hear that women spend so much time (and money) on their skincare routines and who can blame them? If the effects will benefit you in the long run (ex. healthy and youthful looking skin for xx years) then all the efforts (and investments) are all worth it!

Skincare routines are very personal and curated to a woman’s needs. It can be as extensive as the famous 10-step Korean skincare routine or it can be as basic as the Cleanse, Tone, and Moisturize routine depending on what your skin concerns are and how you’re going to treat it.

But if you’re still testing the waters on what to include in your own skincare routine, let us help you out in today’s #SampleRoomTips!

1. Cleansers
It’s important that we clean our face from all the oil, dirt and makeup that accumulated in the day. But bear in mind that not all cleansers are compatible for every skin type. Choose a cleanser that’s gentle and most suitable to your skin’s needs.

Tools for a thorough and deep face cleansing are also available in the local and international beauty market. If you have the extra moolah to purchase one, it’ll prove to be a worthy investment.

2. Toners
Toners bring back the PH balance of the skin and remove the last traces of makeup and dirt left on your face. A variety of face toners has popped up giving you a wide selection to find a specialized toner for your skin needs.

3. Boosters
If you’re new to skin boosters, these are essentially the products that strengthen the skin’s natural defenses and better protect itself from the environment and toxins which allow the skin and your products to perform at its optimum level.

To give you a 101 on how skin boosters work, you can try out the Elizabeth Arden SUPERSTART Skin Renewal Booster in our products page for free.

4. Serums
Serums are the workhorses of every skincare routine. It has the highest concentration of active ingredients that target different skin problems such as anti-oxidants, lighteners, and peptides.

For this month, we have two serums available for sampling to you, roommates. The Elizabeth Arden PREVAGE® Anti-Aging + Intensive Repair Daily Serum to boost your skin’s natural defenses and renewal ability and the Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Capsules Daily Youth Restoring Serum for a more youthful and healthy looking skin.

5. SPF
Skincare is suncare! Don’t let your skin be bombarded with damaging UV rays in the day. Apply sunblock (for UVB rays) or sunscreen (for UVA rays) to keep your skin UVproof!

6. Moisturizer
Moisturizers hydrate your skin just like how water hydrates our body. It makes the skin look healthy and soft and helps the skin function at peak performance. Most moisturizers available also contain active and natural ingredients that target different skincare concerns.

To supercharge your evening routines, the Elizabeth Arden FLAWLESS FUTURE Powered by Ceramide™ Night Cream is available for sampling in our products page.

Hope our quick rundown gave you a brief insight on how to customize and personalize your own skincare routine.

Remember roommates, whatever steps you decide to include or products to use, the trick here is to be consistent and true to your skin needs. The list of products and the amount of time that will be spent may look daunting at first but your skin will love you for it.

If you have your skincare routine already, share it in the comments below! We’d love to know!
