It’s already a week into 2017! Do you already have your New Year’s Resolutions prepped for the year? If not, you’re in luck! This blog post will give you 5 beauty and health related resolutions to try as we turn over a new leaf.
1. I promise to wear sunscreen every day
Contrary to popular belief, summer time is not the only time to apply your trusted sun protection products as UV rays are present all year round! And FYI, these UV rays are the ones responsible for premature skin aging. Eeek! Don’t let your skin age faster than it should! Protect your face and body by using sunscreen every day.
And to help you start this new habit for 2017, you can get the Belo SunExpert Face Cover SPF40 and PA+++ and the Belo SunExpert Tinted Sunscreen SPF50 and PA++++ for free at our products page!
2. I promise to drink more water
Dehydration is a no-no if you want to take care of your skin and body! Make sure you keep yourself hydrated! It doesn’t only help you skin-deep but your whole body will thank you for it!
3. I promise to take off my makeup before I sleep
Removing your makeup before going to bed is a must if you don’t want your pores to get clogged! Make it a habit of spending at least a minute of your evenings to remove your makeup and cleanse your face.
4. I promise to eat more nutritious food
If your diet is still unhealthy, maybe it’s time to inject some greens and nutrients to your meals! The internet is a goldmine of information for healthy and yummy recipes. Search for ones you find appealing and try it at home! Explore your city’s farmer’s market or restos that serve healthy food. You’ll be surprised how easy it is to take a step to a healthier you.
5. I promise to move more
This resolution is probably the most common in the history of New Year’s Resolutions year after year but why do some people still fail at it? One reason I know is that they quit and give up after a few months due to tight schedules or they never really tried at all! (Yes, I’m writing from experience) If you can’t commit full-time to a workout sesh in the gym or at home (like me), try incorporating small doses of extra movement in your everyday routine. If your office is just a few floors up, try taking the stairs. If the convenience store is just a few blocks away, walk. No matter how small, these steps of extra effort to move can help you over time.
Remember roommates, no matter how long or short your New Year’s Resolutions list is, consistency is the key. Start small and work your way from there. It’s all about building the habit and sticking to it to be able to see and feel the effects of the changes in your routines.
