The World Health Organization (WHO) already issued a global health emergency on the novel coronavirus (nCoV) outbreak, and the Department of Health (DOH) just confirmed the first two cases in the country. But what is Coronavirus?

Cornonaviruses (CoV) are a large family of viruses that cause illnesses ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as MERS-CoV and SARS-CoV. A novel coronavirus (nCoV) is a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans.

While a cure is still yet on its way to being developed, our first goal should be to understand more about how nCoV is spreading, its symptoms, and what preventive measures could be taken.
