How to conduct a proper self-quarantine

Now that the COVID-19 is spreading rather rapidly among communities in the Philippines, we are advised to practice social distancing and self-quarantine.

Social distancing is deliberately increasing the physical space between people to avoid spreading illness. Staying at least six feet away from other people lessens your chances of catching COVID-19. While self-quarantine means staying home and not leaving to go anywhere unless medical care is needed.

This is a safety precaution to be conducted especially by those who have been exposed to someone diagnosed with COVID-19 or have recently traveled from a country with level 3 travel advisory for COVID-19 (and are not experiencing any symptoms).

If you have exposure, with or without the symptoms, it is mandatory to put yourself under a 14-day quarantine period to know whether or not you've become ill and contagious to other people.

Follow this 14-day quarantine period guidelines to help protect your health and the health of others.

  Keep safe, roomies!
