Editor’s Review: The Pimple Expert: Lactezin

I will let out a triple sigh here as the stresses of this season does not only reflect through my mental health but also to my body, specifically, my face.

During these unsettling times, not only does stress affect the way we think and feel, but it also affects the way we look – dark circles from lack of sleep – the thing we don’t like (I believe this is a unanimous feeling) – acne. I admit that I have been trying my best to sleep early, to relax, not to flood myself with the news as much, and take care of my skin with proper skincare. But then, sometimes, it just drives my morale down when I see those blackheads and acne just showing up on my skin. Promise, acne really can ruin our day. The struggle is real. I’ve been looking for something that would work hard for my skin, and at the same time, keep me healthy overall.

I just love the new product that just launched in the market, called Lactezin! Lactezin is the first over-the-counter registered anti-acne treatment in the Philippines. Wow. To be able to pass the FDA standards of anti-acne is really something impressive, so I’m listening! Apparently, Lactezin has been clinically tested that uses a natural antibacterial active ingredient called Lactoferrin, combined with Vitamin E and Zinc to lessen pimples and give clear skin in as early as 2 weeks. What’s the best thing about it? It’s over the counter! If it’s over the counter, it is deemed really safe for all! Hooray!

Lactezin is for those who have oily skin, who have whiteheads or blackheads and have acne-prone skin. It has three ingredients that we can take a look at with their benefits:

Lactoferrin is an iron-binding protein that has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It works by helping you from the inside – enhancing your body’s immune system, reducing inflammation, and helps fight pimple-fighting bacteria. It takes care of your skin by reducing sebum and inflammation.

Vitamin E has been known to be one of the most famous ingredients in skincare! It is a powerful antioxidant that helps fight free radical damage, and it also helps protect the skin from the sun’s UV-induced photodamage. Apart from that, it regulates collagen and helps prevent skin dryness, and maintains healthy skin cells.

Last but not the least, Zinc, is a great ingredient that is considered an essential mineral that boosts and enhances the immune system. Zinc has anti-inflammatory effects and helps heal and rejuvenate skin. It also has oil-regulating properties that help improve skin appearance.

Wow. What a powerhouse trio that makes us healthy inside, that it just manifests on our skin as well! Talk about hitting two birds with one stone! Lactezin is to be taken two capsules a day, one in the morning at night, and for results, we’d have to be patient to wait for at least 2 weeks to see results. Based on clinical studies, results can be seen in 8 to 12 weeks. It is best to take 2 tablets a day to prevent a recurrence. Just a note that one must check if one is allergic to these ingredients before one goes for it, just to be super sure! But then, I’m very very happy to see this product in the market as targeted anti-acne medications are already within arm’s reach and easily available! Hope you get to try this and see results for yourself! I do understand the struggles of having acne-prone skin, and being able to address it just gives so much confidence and comfort to our days! So, you go girl!
