About me and my blog
If it’s not a computer, then it’s brushes and makeup palettes you’d see me working on. I work in the IT industry by day, and a (beauty) blogger by night (or whenever my boss is not around, LOL). What started with what I call “de-stressing” by buying makeup, led to taking up a personal makeup class and eventually enrolling myself to a makeup artistry class. And now, I’ve been juggling my IT profession, blogging and being a freelance makeup artist for more than 4 years already.
My constant quest for good products to use on myself and especially on my clients, led me to writing reviews and posting product swatches on my blog. My blog which just started as an online documentation of my progress in makeup, turned into a blog of product reviews, swatches, tutorials and more. To be an IT professional/blogger/makeup artist is not easy, as it entails a lot of time and effort (even going straight to work after an early call time for a makeup gig), but I enjoy it. As they say, “Find a job that you enjoy doing, and you’ll never have to work a day in your life.” To juggle 3 roles can be taxing, but I don’t think I’ll enjoy doing just one as much as I enjoy doing all three. And oh, did you know I used to teach in a college too? LOL.
What inspired me to become a beauty blogger
I was inspired by the thought of being able to share my great finds and reviews in makeup and skincare to people who may be as clueless as I was before.
My all-time favorite beauty product
I would have to say, the eyebrow liner/makeup. Why? Because a good eyebrow shape (which I don’t have, to start with..sniff sniff) instantly frames the face and gives the face an overall balanced look. It also brings attention to the eyes.
